For those new to the hobby, it is essential your read both the general FAQ as well as the plant FAQ. After
everything is (hopefully) clear, you can turn to some of the more plant-specific resources such as the Krib or the
Aquatic Plants Digest. The Krib: This site contains information about tropical fish aquariums,
including archived usenet postings and e-mail discussions, along with new articles and photographs designed
specifically for the web. The specialty here is freshwater aquatic plants and dwarf cichlids, but you may find
information on a variety of subjects. This is the place to conduct preliminary research before hitting the
newsgroups or mailing lists. Aquatic Plants Digest: The aquatic plant mailing
list is intended to be a medium for exchange of information about all aspects of growing aquatic plants as a hobby.
Postings on both aquarium plants and pond plants are welcome. This is the second place to search for

feeling". Includes some very useful Java Script calculators and beginner level articles that some up
the whole challenge of keeping aquatic plants nicely. Society's website has several good reference articles, particularly some updated recommend nutrient levels and
dosing info authored by Tom Barr. Brisbane Plant Study Group: The Brisbane Plant Study Group (BPSG) held its first meeting on the

enjoyed immensely. Chicago Aquatic Gardeners Association: CAGA promotes the hobby of growing aquatic plants in the local community serving the greater Chicagoland area. Aquatic Plant Hobbyist WebsitesGhazanfar Ghori: Spectacular aquascapes that have placed high in
global competitions. Ghanzanfar is also working on updating George Booth's original algae article

Ricky Cain: Ricky's rather unusual style of farming aquatic plants Erik Leung's E-Aquaria: Visually stunning site from Erik Leung, great inspiration and articles on design and layout Randy's Aquaria: Personal website of Randy Carey. This site is for the serious aquarist and for those working toward being serious aquarists. It is not a site for beginners. It does not introduce beginners to the basic concepts -- there are plenty of sites out there that do that. Rather, this site discusses more advanced topics like breeding, fishrooms, aquarium photography, and working with rare or challenging species. Randy is now working on a new site, Two Wet Hands. George Booth's Aquatic Concepts: George Booth's Aquatic Concepts: The Booths' are
pioneers in the field of aquascaping and are largely responsible for the popularity of high-tech tanks in the
United States. Through several years of experimentation aimed at reverse-engineering the proprietary Dupla
system, our understanding of freshwater ecosystems and plant care has improved tremendously. Not as active
now as they once were, the website is still an essential read. Deep Forest Aquatics: Nikolay Kraltchev's personal website Robyn Rhudy: The Amano Shrimp (yumato numa-ebi) in
combination with the Otocinclus are the algae warfare duo recommended by aquatic plant expert Takashi Amano.
Robyn has some good pictures and care info Hoa G. Nguyen: Good DIY articles on CO2,
lighting hoods, photo galleries and much more. Hoa focuses on keeping the cost of a new setup down,
something I think we all desire. Arthur Westover: Arthur Westover's website, hosts The Art of the Plant Aquarium (TAOPA) John's Aquatics: John's Aquascapes are done in traditional
Dutch-style and worth a visit for those researching this style. Aaron Glass: Aaron Glass's personal website, has pictures and articles about his tanks. Arjan's Aquarium Site: This homepage reflects my aquarium for the period of March 1998 till the beginning of November 2001. After this period I have made a new set up of this tank, but because of a shortage in time the experiences with the new set-up will only be used for the Dutch section of this site. For people who are familiar with the Dutch language I can really recommend the Dutch section of the site because this one is always up to date and also contains a lot more information than this English section. Stephen Pushak: Good articles, especially for those interested
in using Walstad-style fertile substrates. Steve's site also has some good information on the environmental
fate of iron in aquatic systems.
